Chrome/Adobe PDF reader errors

I love the Chrome browser, but, in combination with Adobe Reader it frequently hangs reading PDFs. "There is an error reading the document", click OK and the same error.

Probably an Adobe error, but nevertheless the fact that it works with FireFox and IE but not Chrome looks bad.

I was having the same issue. Searched high and low, and what worked for me in the end was switching off "allow fast web view" in Reader. (Edit > Preferences > Internet > Then it's under "Web browser options".)

Hat tip to user "deep blu" on "Chromeboard" - http://www.chromeboard.com/showthread.php?t=16659

Hope that helps,
Jim

Try this:

goto about:plugins
enable the internal PDF viewer
stop trying to use adobe

This may require the dev version of chrome
